
In the framework of initiatives on the occasion of 18 October - European Day for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings, students from Plovdiv schools SU “Paisii Hilendarski” and HG "Sv. Sv. Kiril I Metodii " participated in a contest on the topic of “What is human trafficking?” The contest was organized by the Local Commission, with the support of the National Commission for Combating Human Trafficking, and the participants had to prepare a prevention material in the form of a short video, poster or presentation on the topic.
On November 26, 2021 on the online platform Google Meet the students had the opportunity to present their product in the presence of a jury, including - Ms. Tanya Ivanova, Secretary of the Commission and Ms. Mariana Mladenova, expert from the National Commission for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings. The evaluation criteria for the participants included the choice of creative approach, convincing presentation of the idea, as well as aesthetic design of the material.
First place was won by students from “St. Paisii Hilendarski”, Plovdiv. Tamer Chakarov, who made a video on the problem of human trafficking with 10 of the most important facts, and Ivanina Dobreva, who created a poster containing information about the crime and risk groups. The second and third place went to Tatiana Katsarova and Iliana Yanakieva from “Sv. Sv. Kriril I Metodii”, Plovdiv. They prepared presentations on human trafficking. The prepared information materials will be used in the class for prevention purposes.
