With the main strategic objective of upgrading the quality of prevention campaigns and expanding the scope of prevention activities by including small settlements, on 25.11.2022 Vladimir Drumev, Secretary of the Local Commission for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings Sliven conducted targeted prevention work with children from Hadzhi Dimitar Primary School in Byala village.
The focus was set on safe online communication and sexting as one of the biggest threats related to the exchange of photos or videos with sexual content and subsequent sexual coercion and extortion of minors.
The danger of the Internet and in particular social networks as s means of involvement in human trafficking, control and exploitation for the purpose of forced prostitution, forced labour, forced servitude, exploitation for the purpose of begging and pickpocketing, removal of body organs, tissues and cells, trafficking of pregnant women for the purpose of selling their newborn were discussed.
Options for reporting the crime were also discussed, including through the National Anti-Trafficking Hotline - 080020100. All children received a specialized brochure delivered to te LCCTHB Sliven by A21 Bulgaria.
