The Local Commission for Combating Human Trafficking in Sliven continues its preventive work with women prisoners


The Local Commission for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings (LCCTHB), Sliven in partnership with the General Directorate "Execution of Penalties", Sliven Prison continue the joint initiative for the prevention of human trafficking for sexual exploitation.

 

Within the framework of the partnership activity on 30 and 31 May 2022, 70 women prisoners will be reached in Sliven Prison, including those from the Open-type Prison Dormitories (OTP) "Sliven" and "Ramanusha".

The main strategic objective of the initiative is to support the process of successful social reintegration of women after serving their sentence and leaving prison, by providing information about the crime of human trafficking, the most common methods of involvement and ways to prevent from falling into sexual exploitation and forced prostitution.
