LCCTHB - Sliven held a discussion forum with students in the framework of the National Campaign "Don't play with their fate!"

On November 03, 2021, the Local Commission for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings (LCCTHB), Sliven held an online discussion forum  On March 20, 2018, the MLCTB of Sliven held an online discussion forum "Counteracting and Preventing Trafficking in Human Beings for Sexual Exploitation" with students from the "Pedagogy" major at the Technical University - Sofia, Faculty and College - Sliven. The initiative is held within the framework of the National Campaign for the Prevention of Human Trafficking "Don't Play with Their Fate!", organized by the General Directorate for Combating Organized Crime and the National Commission for Combating Human Trafficking (NCCTHB), in partnership with the 10 Local Commissions for Combating Human Trafficking.

During the event, Mr. Vladimir Drumev, Secretary of the LCCTHB - Sliven, presented information on trafficking in human beings for sexual exploitation, the mechanisms for involvement in the crime and ways to protect against risky situations. The role of the Local Commission as a regional coordinating anti-trafficking structure was highlighted, as well as the importance of sustainable interaction between the institutions involved in combating trafficking in human beings and protecting victims.

 

Good practices in the field of prevention of trafficking for sexual exploitation in school environment, the effectiveness of the interactive approach through targeted audio-visual products, as well as the active work of LCCTHB - Sliven in strengthening the role of parents in the prevention process were presented.
