Specialized Training for School Psychologists, Pedagogical Specialists and Psychologists Working in the Social Services Operating in Montana


  On October 28, 2021, the Local Anti-Trafficking Commissions in Montana, Veliko Tarnovo and Pleven held a specialized online training on “Psychosocial preconditions for the involvement of adolescents in the crime of human trafficking. Identification and support in school environment and social services”.  The training was attended by 59 participants - school psychologists, pedagogical specialists and psychologists working in social services in the cities of Montana, Veliko Tarnovo and Pleven.

  The lecturer of the training was Mr. Yordan Tankovski - practical psychologist and trainer with many years of experience in working with adolescents and specialists working in schools and social services, who focused on the basic concepts related to human trafficking, risk factors for adolescents to be involved in trafficking, the profile of the victim and the perpetrator, crisis and crisis intervention, psychotraumatic experiences of victims of violence and trafficking, as well as on psychological support for victims of violence and trafficking in the school environment and in social services.

  During the training, the participants also had the opportunity for discussion, asking specific questions related to the practical application of crisis intervention and psychological support for victims and sharing experiences from cases from their own practice.

 The feedback from all participants was their high satisfaction with the interesting and inspiring training, tailored to the specificity of their work, mixed with the discussion of real practical situations, and all this presented at a high professional level.
