
The Local Commission for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings together with the Local Commission for Combating Anti-Social Behaviour of Minors - "Trakia" District, Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Held a specialized training named “Trafficking in Human Beings - Risks, Consequences and Challenges.
Informal identification at the first level"The event took place on the 29th of September 2021 on the Zoom video conference call platform. It was attended by about 20 participants, including education and health mediators, public educators and pedagogical advisors from educational institutions in the district of Stolipinovo. The participants included representatives from the district administration of Plovdiv Municipality.
The aim of the training was to raise the professional qualification of the specialists on the problems related to trafficking in human beings by introducing them to the dimension of the crime, the forms and types of exploitation, the mechanisms for involvement, the National Mechanism for referral and support of victims of trafficking, the signs for identification, referral and psychological support of victims, etc.
Special attention was also paid to the psychological aspects of trafficking in human beings such as root causes, unlawful behavior, family environment, profile of children and young people victimized, methods of involvement and control over the victim.
The lecturers of the training were Mrs. Tanya Ivanova, Secretary of the Local Commission for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings - Plovdiv. Mr. Stoichko Milichin, psychologist at Milichin Center, Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
