The local commission in Plovdiv reported its activities for the first half of 2021

The Local Commission for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings Plovdiv held its second annual meeting on Zoom's online videoconferencing platform.

The meeting was held in accordance with the agenda previously approved for this purpose by the Chairman of the Local Commission and Deputy Mayor for Public Order and Security at the Municipality of Plovdiv, Mr. Yordan Stavrev.

Among the topics to be discussed during the online meeting was: the adoption of the Report of the Local Commission for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings Plovdiv for 01.01. - 30.06.2021 on the implementation of the "Program for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings and Protection of Victims in 2021", discussion of the implementation of upcoming activities by the Local Commission and other current issues.

In the presence of the participants, Ms. Tanya Ivanova - Secretary of the Commission outlined the main areas of work of the local structure until the end of 2021, including the planned implementation of specialized trainings for professionals, as well as the implementation of prevention and information campaigns among the group at risk of falling into a situation of human trafficking.

Among the participants in the meeting were: Deputy District Prosecutor - Rumiana Zaikova - Kaleeva - District Prosecutor's Office Plovdiv; judge Ivan Minchev - District Court Plovdiv, inspector Ms. Galina Galabova - Secretary of the LCCTHB - Trakia District, Plovdiv Municipality; Mr. Dimitar Stavrev - Senion CSR Expert at the RSE Plovdiv and Ms. Petya Vassileva - Social Worker at the Social Assistance Directorate Plovdiv.
