
In implementation of the Local Programme for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings and Protection of Victims in 2021, the Local Commission for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings together with the Local Commission for Combating Anti-Social Acts of Minors – Montana held specialized training for professionals on the topic: "The Internet as a mechanism "Internet as a mechanism for involvement in human trafficking under conditions of social isolation and distance learning"
The event took place today, 27 May (Thursday) 2021 on the video conference call platform "Zoom".
The aim of the online event was to introduce specialists from the Local Commission to the problem of "trafficking in human beings" and the risks posing to children and young people in the global network, especially in conditions of remote learning and social isolation. To present the new dimensions of trafficking in human beings as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, including current trends and challenges, as well as the increased vulnerability of adolescents on the internet from falling into trafficking in human beings by providing practical guidance and crisis intervention.
The lecturer of the training was Mrs. Antoaneta Vasileva, an expert and consultant on human rights, with over 18 years of experience in the fight against trafficking in human beings.
