The local commission for combating trafficking in human beings in Sliven has launched preventive work with female inmates


The Local Commission for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings (LCCTHB), Sliven, in partnership with the Directorate General "Enforcement of Punishments" - Sliven Prison, launched a joint initiative for the prevention of trafficking in human beings for sexual exploitation.

On 25 and 26 May 2021, 60 female inmates in Sliven Prison, including from the Prison Dormitories of the Open Type (ZOOT) "Sliven" and "Ramanusha" will be covered in the framework of the partnership activity.

A key strategic objective is to support the process of successful reintegration of women after leaving prison by providing information on the crime of trafficking in human beings, the most common methods of involvement and ways to prevent sexual exploitation and forced prostitution.
