Training of new volunteers in human trafficking prevention

On the 5th, 8th, and 11th of March 2021, in the framework of the program for the prevention of human trafficking and the protection of victims, in the section "Prevention", the LCCTHB Varna held a training for volunteers from the School Prevention Club of the Prevention Directorate, Varna Municipality.

The training, which took place online on the Google Meet platform, involved 27 new volunteers who chose to work on preventing human trafficking using the "peer-to-peer training" method.

Elements of the crime, types of exploitative targets, risk factors, and vulnerable groups were discussed. Mechanisms of victim involvement and control and ways of protection were discussed.

The purpose of the training is to train peer educators in the prevention of human trafficking under the "Program for the Prevention of Risk Behavior among students from 8th to 12h grade".
