First Annual Meeting of the Local Commission for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings in Plovdiv
Today, the 18th of February 2021, the first annual regular meeting of the Local Commission for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings Plovdiv was held on the online video conferencing platform Zoom. The meeting was opened by Mr. Yordan Stavrev, Deputy Mayor "Public Order" in Plovdiv Municipality and Chairman of the Local Commission.
During the meeting, the updated composition of the committee was presented. The Report of the Local Commission for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings Plovdiv on the implementation of the "Program for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings and Protection of Victims in 2020" and the Plan-Program for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings of the LCCTHB Plovdiv in 2021 were discussed and adopted. In the presence of the members according to the agenda, issues related to upcoming activities and proposals for future partnerships were discussed.
The Chairman of the Local Committee, Mr. Stavrev outlined the main directions of the work of the Committee in the current year, analyzing the results of the previous year. He thanked those present at the meeting for the fruitful cooperation and emphasized on building on what has been achieved at the inter-institutional level in the direction of counteracting the crime of human trafficking.

Elena Zaprevo - BOP Sector - Plovdiv, Pazardzhik and Smolyan and Ms. Petya Vassileva - Social Worker at the Social Assistance Directorate, Plovdiv.
