For the second year in a row Varna Municipality, the Prevention Directorate and the Local Commission for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings are hosting an information campaign - Walk For Freedom, organized by A21 Bulgaria Foundation. The campaign is held on the occasion of 18 October - European Day against Trafficking in Human Beings.
This year’s campaign is entitled “The Meaning of Freedom”. The aim is to raise awareness among young people about victims of trafficking around the world.
Due to the epidemic situation, the initiative will be conducted entirely online. The campaign will be attended by 200 volunteers from varna high schools working on the "peers train peers" method in the school preventive clubs of the Prevention Directorate, Varna Municipality.
Between September 17 and October 17, volunteers will show their understanding of the importance of freedom through photo, song, dance, drawing with #ЗначениетоНаСвободата.
On the 17th of October, the A21 Foundation will also organize an online event to provide more information about trafficking in human beings and ways to fight back against this serious crime.
