A multidisciplinary training with an anti-trafficking focus on local level took place


In the period 24-25 June 2019 in the "Diplomat Plaza" Hotel, Lukovit, a multidisciplinary training on "Countering the trafficking in human beings at local level - barriers, opportunities and challenges" took place with the support of the National Commission for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings.

The training was directed to the members of the Local Commissions for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings (LCCTHB) from Veliko Tarnovo, Pleven and Montana, as well as to actively working specialists on the topic and the supporters of the Commissions' work.

The main objectives of the training were to increase the effectiveness of the LCCTHB's work on cases, as well as better cooperation and coordination between the three commissions. Emphasis was placed on the implementation of local priorities, the opportunities, the difficulties and the challenges that each committee (and / or a separate institution) encounters, the exchange of experiences and good practices.

Lecturers of the training were Prosecutor Vladimir Nikolov - Regional Prosecutor's Office, Pleven, who moderated a session on "Effective Persecution and Punishment of the Human Trafficking Offense" and Mihail Stefanov – an expert and consultant on Communication, Presentation, Speaking and Creativity, connected to team work, media work, as well as concepts for preventive information campaigns.
