Within the framework of the information campaign on the prevention of trafficking in human beings for the purposes of sexual exploitation and forced prostitution, the Local Commission for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings (LCCTHB), Sliven, in partnership with the General Directorate of Execution of Penalties, Sliven Prison, held informational meetings with women imprisoned.
Within the framework of the initiative, with a focus on targeted prevention work, four focus groups were organized, covering 46 imprisoned women. Through screenings of thematic films and accompanying discussions, the women were made aware of the crime of human trafficking, the most common methods of involvement, and the ways to prevent their involvement in sexual exploitation and forced prostitution.
The focus groups were also informed about the role of the National Anti-Trafficking in Human Beings Telephone Line - 080020100, which works in close partnership with all national and European institutions to ensure the maximum speed of processing of every signal received. All women received a specialized brochure on the telephone line, provided to the Local Commission for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings (LCCTHB), Sliven from Campania A21 Bulgaria.
