As part of their work on the prevention of the trafficking in human beings and the safe use of the Internet, the Local Commission for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings (LCCTHB), Sliven, together with the "Dr. Ivan Seliminski" Primary School in Sliven, organized specialized informational meeting for parents to actively and directly involve them in the prevention process.
The event was opened by Vladimir Drumev, secretary of the LCCTHB - Sliven, who put a focus on the communicational network "parents-school-institutions", which would give the students the message that their parents, teachers and interested representatives of institutions that work on combating trafficking in human beings, collaborate with each other, which in turn will contribute to more consistent and meaningful preventative work with the children.
Lecturers at the specialized informational meeting were Antoaneta Vassileva and Ralitsa Mihailova - experts from the National Center for Safe Internet and the Parents Association.
The event discussed the risky behavior of children and young people on the Internet, as well as new factors for involvement in human trafficking. An online safety advisory line was presented - 124 123 - and serious attention was paid to online bullying and how to upgrade children's safe behavior on the Internet.
All participants received specialized cards "Safe Use of the Internet = Prevention of Trafficking in Children", with the coordinates of the National Commission for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings (NCCTHB) and its ten local structures, as well as the National Anti-Trafficking hotline : 080020100.
