Project purpose
Strengthening the efficiency of Bulgarian authorities in the response to human trafficking aimed at prevention and combating trafficking in human beings and protection of the victims.
Expected results
- Highly qualified and well-trained staff of the THB Section, DCOSC, MoI, with competence and skills in the specific areas of information and analytical activity;
- Improved cooperation related to combating THB between Bulgaria law enforcement authorities, the prosecutors office and other relevant institutions;
- Improved cooperation related to combating THB between Bulgaria and the Netherlands;
- Increasing the capacity of the National Commission for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings (NCCTHB), its Local Commissions and NGOs in Bulgaria regarding the protection of human trafficking victims;
- Increasing the capacity of NCCTHB, its Local Commissions and NGOs concerning the prevention of human trafficking;
- Increased awareness among vulnerable group on the risks of human trafficking and methods of recruitment.
