In April 2008, commissioned by the NCCTHB, Mediana Agency conducted a qualitative sociological survey with four focus groups with young people aged between 18 and 35. The topic of the study was Trafficking in Human Beings – Connotations, Meanings, Attitude and Expectations of the Institutions.

quantitative sociological survey among 1,502 people over 18 years of age on the topic of Public Opinion and Public Attitudes to Trafficking in Human Beings.

4. Sociological research Trafficking in Human Beings, Emigration and Sexual Exploitation

In October 2009, Mediana Agency conducted a sociological survey on the topic „Trafficking in Human Beings, Emigration and Sexual Exploitation“ commissioned by NCCTHB. The study was effectuated on a national level as well as in the regions of Varna and Sliven. More than 1, 500 persons aged between 15 and 35 took part at the study.

Study on Post-Trafficking Experiences in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy and Portugal (under TRM-EU project) was conducted in 2010 at the request of Department for Equal Opportunities – Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Italy and The International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD). The survey was effectuated within the framework of the project „Development of a Transnational Referral Mechanism for Victims of Trafficking between Countries of Origin and Destination, TRM-EU“.

The study was conducted during 2011 by the international researches network Campbell Collaboration maintaining and disseminating systematic reviews in education, crime and justice, and social welfare.
